The Body Map
of Success
Cultural Probe

The Body Map of Success is a participatory cultural probe that invites gym members to track their weekly training using stickers, body maps, and short reflections. As participants layer colors across the same spread, their physical effort, emotional states, and hidden influences—like sleep, mood, or environment—become visible.

Instead of measuring performance through numbers or comparison, the project highlights how people define success in diverse ways: health, joy, discipline, or simply showing up. Through co-creation, it reframes the gym as a place where effort is felt, seen, and reinterpreted beyond meritocratic pressure.
